Training Galore for CRIN Staff

The Institute embarked on a no holds barred training for the staff. This is in fulfilment of the avowed staff empowerment commitment of the indefatigable ED CRIN, Dr. Patrick Adebola. Virtually every cadre of staff has benefitted from this lofty gesture which has been an ongoing process in this era. In continuation of the training programme headed by the Director of Training, Dr. S.O. Agbeniyi, staff of Finance and Account Department, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division, Plantation and Estate Management (PEM) Division, Admin, Directorate, Training, Agronomy and Soil Departments were trained in December 2021 on various performance enhancing skills. The 3 in-house Unions were not left out as they were trained on Essentials of Collective Bargaining, Communicating Effectively Towards Harmonious Interpersonal Relations and Collective Bargaining As An Industrial Conflict Resolutions. The Admin staff were trained on Administrative Communication Skills” at the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), Topo, Badagry, Lagos. The Administrative Skills they were exposed to include: Human Relations and Effective Communication; Drafting, Minuting, Memo and Letter Writing; Report Writing; Servicing Meetings; Listening Skills, Handling Official Documents; and the Role of ICT in Official Communication. Furthermore, seven staff of Plantation and Estate Management (PEM) Division with Store Officer were trained on leadership skills at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State. The course content includes: Strategic Leadership Skill and Development Planning to Save Cost; Performance Management for Organizational Efficiency; Critical Thinking Skills Development; Effective Report Writing Skills Development; and Communicating Effectively.
